Midcentury Wood File Box by Globe Wernicke Maine Dept of Health

A midcentury wood card file box by Globe Wernicke. Nice dovetailed box, with the Globe imprint on the front. The interior is marked on the lid and the box base, "From the State Department of Health, Augusta, Maine". Pen mark " Set I". The manufacturer's label says, "No. 85-C, Made by The Globe-Wernicke Co., Cincinnati". Includes alphabet dividers; holds 5x8 index cards, in very good vintage condition, with nicks and scratches, great look. The larger card box measures approximately 8 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" tall. Perfect for the vintage medical office!
