Antique Stoneware Man with Monocle Mug

An antique, stoneware man with monocle mug. The gray pottery mug features a detailed face and similar form to the Mr. Peanut logo. The later Mr. Peanut plastic mugs take the same form. The bottom is embossed "PATAPLDFOR" (patent applied for). The mug is in good vintage condition with heavy crazing, surface hairline cracks and discoloration. The rare cup measures approximate 4 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" edge to handle.
