Antique Remember the Maine Mug

A rare antique mug, Remember the Maine. A Spanish-American War period, circa 1898, lithographed beer mug. The mug has a detailed sepia design with great red and blue highlights. It depicts the U.S. Battleship, Maine, that was destroyed in Havana Harbor on February 15th, 1898. The stoneware mug was manufactured by Edwin Bennett Pottery. Marked 10 on bottom. In very good antique condition with no chips or cracks.

The heavy stoneware mug measures approximately 4 1/4" tall x 5 1/4" mug to handle and 3 1/2" at base.
