Midcentury Liberty Clock Mirrored Compact

A wonderful Liberty Clock Mirrored Compact. The powder compact, made for Liberty of London. This collectible compact is in very good vintage condition with scratches and surface wear; the mirror is spotted due to age. The goldstone metal compact features St George slaying the dragon; a rooster , an angel, and an owl. The mirrored compact measures approximately 3 1/4" in diameter.

The compact is was inspired by the Liberty Clock outside the Liberty of London department store. The clock depicts St. George slaying the dragon. The text on the London clock and the compact says, "No minute gone comes ever back again. Take heed and see ye nothing do in vain". The compact contains powder and says “Made in England”; no puff.
